Black is always the new black. It never goes out of style, it’s figure flattering, and can be effortless and chic at the same time. Head-to-toe black has become my “I have nothing to wear!” grownup, go-to uniform. However, it’s not as easy as it seems to pull-off the monochromatic look. The key, dromroll please… is mixing styles and textures. There is nothing “chic” about head-to-toe black in only cotton. Instead, try pairing that casual cotton t-shirt with a sexy black leather skirt, glam faux fur jacket and suede OTK boots. By mixing casual and dressed up styles, you have instantly added interest to your outfit. Winter is my favorite time to dress in all black day or nighttime so think big textures! Velvet, sheer, suede, jersey, leather, lace, or silk….bring it on and layer it up.

Just for reference: I’m not boring or gothic…I just love head-to-toe black. Thanks for reading!
