“A lightweight maxi is the ultimate entrance maker to any event.” – Meghan Fabulous

Maxi dresses have been all the rage the past few years BUT lets not forgot how much they have come. Do you remember pairing a maxi dress with flat sandals and calling it a day? This was everywhere, a lazy uniform if you will. Maxi dresses NOW are far more sophisticated then they used to be. They are not just for “summer only” either — that’s one of the reasons I love this one so much because it will transition SO well throughout the year.

How to wear them?

In the winter, I love to do an over-the-knee boot under a long maxi — stylish YET functional since they help keep you warm in cooler climates.

You can take an ‘athleisure’ approach with a simple maxi by wearing yours with sneakers or even and a basic tee underneath. Layer a coat or jacket over top — this is your chance to make a statement all your own.

Booties are the perfect shoe to wear with a transitional maxi in the spring and fall. Long sleeves, bold prints, bright shades — all can be worn with booties. Dusted colors have been the IT color as of lately.

Always puzzled by what to wear to weddings? This is your answer….particularly for a day wedding.
Everyone should own a go-to maxi because they are so timeless. It should be gathered at the waist to create a perfect a-line shape that will flatter ANY body type. A plunging neckline or thigh-high slit will definitely give you a sexy edge, if that’s what you are looking for.

So, go get maxed out!

May you have Peace, Love & Style,

 Shawna
