Q: You and your friends seem to be so close! How did you all become friends?A: Katy: I am blessed to have SO many wonderful, smart, classy, fun, loving, beautiful friends. Most of my friends I met in college or working together. I also have a few great friends from high school that I still talk to, so many wonderful memories! And if I think you're referring to a certain group of friends, read Shawna's answer below ;)A: Shawna: My girlfriends are so incredibly important to me! We have been friends for over 15 years now, so you can imagine how much we have all gone through together. We met when we were in college working at the same restaurant in San Diego. As you could imagine, our serving shifts were a blast! I remember always being so impressed by how smart, classy, charismatic and beautiful these girls were. I was only 19 years old when I met them and still remember us all driving around to get everyone fake IDs for the night, lol! I blame them for corrupting me ;) Q: How many kids are you planning on having?A: Katy: Hmm, I don't know but I hope to have at least one more. Life really threw me a curve ball and I'm hoping I can add at least one more healthy baby to the family. A: Shawna: This is it! As hard as it was to have 1 child, I feel beyond blessed that I'm having another. We are DONE after this :)Q: Summer is here and I'm still pale, lol! What is your favorite self-tanner?A: Katy: I recently tried Bondi Sands One Hour Express Tanning Foam and really liked it. I love the coconut smell and it didn't leave me with B.O. after like most self tanners do on me. It didn't leave me streaky but I do recommend applying two coats of product and using their tanning mitt. A: Shawna: Such a good question! I have tried too many sunless tanning lotions over the years to be let down every. single. time. In my experience, the products that worked well at darkening my skin tone, typically had a foul odor and the ones that promised to smell pleasant, didn’t work. That all changed when I found out about Chocolate Sun.  It smells delicious and works great!  Q: What's your favorite dinner recipe to cook for your husband?A: Katy: Well to be honest my husband is a better cook than I am but he does love the bowls and salads I make. I usually just wing it but here are some similar recipes.A: Shawna: I love to cook "Weeknight Bolognese" because it's his favorite ♥ I usually serve it with bread and a salad. I linked the recipe hereQ: Do you ladies take any natural supplements or fat burning pills?A: Katy: I am taking two recommendations from my acupuncturist to boost my adrenals and also a multi-vitamin.  I don't believe in fat burning pills, if they worked everyone would take them right?A: Shawna: The only thing I currently take are prenatal vitamins. Q: I'm traveling a lot this summer, what's your best travel tip?A: Katy: I am such a list maker, I start making my list a week before so that I know I won't forget anything. There's nothing more that I dislike than spending my vacation on the hunt to buy something I forgot at home. I also like to roll things up when I pack them because I feel like it saves space and makes things less wrinkly. Also, on the way home from any trip I separate my clean clothes from the dirty ones so that I don't have to wash any items that I didn't wear.A: Shawna: This is sparking a blog post idea! I love travel tips too. Something very simple that helps me tremendously is that I always start packing for trips 3-4 days before hand. I have a portable clothing rack that I bring into my room and start separating items that I'm bringing onto the rack. I find that packing things in an area away from my closet helps keep me stay focused and not overpack. Q: What's is your go-to cocktail?A: Katy: I love a Moscow Mule (it has to be in a copper mug!)  I also like skinny margaritas and  dirty martinis with Jewel of Russia Vodka. A: Shawna: Cucumber anything. I especially love Cucumber Margaritas, Cucumber-Basil Martinis! YuuuuumQ: Do you or have you ever had cellulite and if u did did u get rid of it?A: Katy: Oh yes and still do lol. I always have trouble spots on my legs but I can tell that the more I work out the less it shows. A: Shawna: LEGS! A combination of high-impact cardio (incline running and jumping) and lots of leg exercises (squats especially) have helped me keep my cellulite under control better then ever.
